"I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order." — John Burroughs

The Grounded Path is a transformative retreat designed to heal and empower both mind and body through the restorative power of nature. Surrounded by serene landscapes, participants are guided through mindful movement, breathwork, and guided meditations that encourage inner peace and lasting calm. Whether you're seeking clarity, renewal, or a deeper connection to yourself, this immersive experience offers the space and support to ground, grow, and thrive.

Nestled on 1,000 private acres of private, protected forest and meadow, this special retreat invites you to slow down and be present. Guided by experienced facilitators, you'll move through a thoughtfully curated day of healing and connection, all while immersed in the natural landscape of the Sierra Foothills.

The day includes:

🌿 A morning stretch to awaken our bodies and ground us to the earth

🌿 An easy hike through wildflowers and woods to a scenic vista

🌿 Guided meditation to quiet the mind and center the spirit

🌿 Vinyasa yoga and stretching in a shaded meadow

🌿 Real-world guidance for navigating stress and anxiety

All activities are held outdoors, weather permitting. (In case of rain, we’ll gather in our beautiful open-air event barn.) This experience is open to all skill levels—no prior yoga or meditation experience needed.  Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Located in Pilot Hill, just 12 miles from Auburn and 13 miles from Folsom/El Dorado Hills, Lotus View Ranch is a working farm, ranch and nature preserve committed to honoring and protecting the native plants and animals that call this land home.

Space is limited to just 25 guests, so early registration is encouraged.

Your Facilitators

Ramona Beresford-Howe

Dr. Ramona Beresford-Howe is a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, anxiety, and stress management. Before establishing her private practice in Grass Valley, she worked in hospitals and the correctional system, helping patients recover from trauma. She takes a holistic approach to healing, combining practical stress-management tools based in science with an emphasis on the mind-body connection, often drawing on nature’s calming influence in her sessions.

Before becoming a psychologist, Ramona worked as a registered nurse.

Outside of her work, she finds solace in the outdoors, frequently hiking in the Sierra foothills or traveling to music festivals around the state. She plays bluegrass and old-time music on her fiddle, often in natural settings where music and nature blend harmoniously.

Ramona will be conducting our workshop on stress and anxiety, featuring excerpts from her new book, Take Five: Five Steps to Reduce Stress and Calm Your Mind, which explores how nature, movement, and mindfulness can help restore inner balance.

Todd Drybread

Dr. Todd Drybread has been practicing Chiropractic since 2001.  In addition to teaching yoga, he currently runs his own practice as well as teaching Anatomy and Physiology at Consumnes River College.  As a Chiropractor, Exercise Specialist, Yoga Teacher, and College Professor, Dr. Todd has a great knowledge of proper biomechanics of the body and proper rehabilitation.   Dr. Todd uses his knowledge of the body and the expertise gained from his studies to provide an understanding of how the body works in a unique way that is both easy to understand and applicable to not only your yoga practice but your everyday activities.

His classes are powerful and incorporate subtle body cues that bring awareness to your body while allowing freedom to take your practice where you need to go.  No two bodies are alike, and no two people will experience the pose in the same way.  Dr. Todd will guide you through classes in a way that allows you to find your body and have an experience on your mat, rather than just another class.

Prior to becoming a Chiropractor and Yoga Teacher, Dr. Todd Drybread worked in the health care field for over 13 years as an E.M.T., Nurse, and lifeguard.  He continued (and still does continue) to increase his education and later became a QME for the State of California, Personal Trainer, Certified Exercise Specialist and has had over 300 hours of Yoga Teacher Training.  He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West and graduated Magna Cum Laude.  He began practicing in the Folsom/Sacramento area in January 2001 and has been teaching yoga since 2009.

Todd will facilitate our yoga sessions.
